The program applies to any residential stove or fireplace fuelled by wood logs on the island of Montreal that is NOT CERTIFIED by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA certification) or the Canadian Standards Association (CAN/CSA-B415.1 certification).

The appliance must be operational.
